Where I live: I live in the Stifft Station neighborhood of Little Rock with my partner, Jason Files, and three dogs.
Occupation: I am the communications counsel for the Arkansas Supreme Court. I am also the founder of Women Lead Arkansas, a nonpartisan nonprofit whose mission is to empower women and girls to engage in politics, policy and leadership.
My favorite space is: Our dining room.
Why? Our dining room is the hub of our home. Jason and I are both very busy and tend to work at home from the dining table. We are lawyers so it is often strewn with folders, cases, and other paperwork. This is where we read the newspaper and pay the bills. We have one wall covered with full bookshelves. The room also has pictures and keepsakes from our travels. From the tablecloth from Nicaragua to a shot glass from Budapest, I love to look around and remember the amazing trips we've taken together.
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: We have never used a hammock we brought back from Belize seven years ago. I would find a way to hang the hammock in here so I could start reading more of those books! If not the hammock, I would like glass-door cabinets to hold liquor, barware and glassware. It would anchor the marble-top buffet.
