Sarah Frances Holden and John Bradley Swanson exchanged marriage vows at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at P. Allen Smith's Moss Mountain Farm. John McIntosh officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Pamela and Stephen Holden of Maumelle. Her grandparents are the late Mildred and Howard Holden and the late Frances and Gene Hoover, all of Pine Bluff.

Judy and Robert Metzgar of Benton are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Margret and Robert Metzgar of Weston, W.Va., and the late Edith and Edward Pallett of Virginia Beach, Va.

Vows were exchanged in the East Garden, which was bordered in pink roses with views of the upper terrace gardens and the Arkansas River valley. Music was by acoustic guitarist Cody Stanton.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory A-line gown embellished with lace appliques. She carried a bouquet of two dozen white peonies.

Matron of honor was Laura Elizabeth Vogel of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Melissa Cox, Samantha Hall and Nichole McGeorge, all of Little Rock; Ronda Smith of Conway; Whitney Russell of Bryant; and Brandi McIntosh of Benton. They wore navy knee-length dresses and carried bouquets of garden roses, peonies, feverfew, stock and lisianthus in shades of white, cream and yellow.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Vivien Frances Vogel and Robert August Vogel III of Little Rock, niece and nephew of the bride.

Best man was Robert Graydon Metzgar III of Benton, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jaymes Herrington and Austin Webb, both of Little Rock; Robert Rippeon of Westminster, Md.; Steven Kennedy of Scott; and Justin McManus of Bryant. Guests were seated by Robert Vogel Jr. and William Hughes, both of Little Rock.

A reception at the farm followed the ceremony. A tent was lighted with lanterns and large branches wrapped in lights hung from the ceiling with sisal rope. The buffet was centered with a large antique galvanized French flower container filled with hybrid blue delphinium, a marigold sap bucket overflowing with baby's breath and a towering vase of white agapanthus and yellow roses. Long wooden farm tables held wooden lanterns and an eclectic mix of containers filled with wedding flowers.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a diploma of registered nursing from Baptist School of Nursing. She is a registered nurse at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

The groom also has a diploma of registered nursing from Baptist School of Nursing and is a registered nurse at UAMS.

After a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple will live in Little Rock.
