A 28-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday on manslaughter charges for the death of her 3-month-old boy.
An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for Lindsey Colbert, of Ward, after deputies with the Lonoke County sheriff’s office on March 13 found the infant deceased at 55 Bonnie Blue Lane in Ward, officials with the sheriff's office said.
An investigation — conducted by the sheriff’s office, Arkansas State Police and the Department of Children and Family Services — found that the infant had died because he was severely malnourished, sheriff's office officials said in a statement.
Colbert is being held at the Lonoke County jail without bond until her first court appearance.
