A large oak tree fell on a Pulaski County home Thursday morning, temporarily trapping at least one person inside.

Pulaski County sheriff's office Lt. Carl Minden said he didn't know how many people were inside the home at 9417 Crystal Hill Road, located just outside of North Little Rock city limits, when the tree fell about 11:15 a.m.

Law enforcement officials and Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and one person was transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

It wasn't immediately known what caused the tree to fall, but National Weather Service Meteorologist John Robinson said it's possible that the soggy ground from days of rain could be to blame.

Robinson said North Little Rock had received 2.26 inches of rain in the 24-hour period that ended at 7 a.m.
