Where I live: I just moved into the Governor's Mansion Historic District of Little Rock with my husband, Matthew, and our 11-year-old dog, Arlo, who is a Lab/Rottweiler mix.

Occupation: I am the owner and designer of Bella Vita Jewelry in Little Rock. My new shop is in the historic Lafayette Building, where I will have a grand opening on Nov. 14.

My favorite space is: Our study.

Why? Because it is the most eclectic room in the house at the moment. My husband and I are both collectors of vintage and antique things. I love the hardwood floors (somehow the rest of the house missed out on these). I also like all the furniture we have in the room -- a large wood schoolhouse desk, Herman Miller Eames chairs, an antique heirloom rocking chair, and a midcentury modern bookcase. The walls are embellished with art by family, Matt's rack of deer horns, concert posters, vintage prints, and a large pulldown map. Bookshelves are loaded with books, picture frames and little mementos from travels. It is a quiet place to relax.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Create a passageway from this space into our kitchen/living room so the house would be more open. We have two main doors to enter the house and I would like these spaces to be more connected.
