Wedding vows were exchanged by Lori Kristen Neumeier and Joseph Michael Melliere at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Great Hall at Camp Ouachita Girl Scout Camp Historic District in the Ouachita National Forest near Perryville. Lisa Shoemake officiated.

Patty and Bernard Neumeier, 11421 Gila Valley Drive, are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Elizabeth and Walter Binz of Little Rock and Mary Katherine and Ron Neumeier of Cabot.

Vows were exchanged in front of a large stone fireplace, framed by ferns, lanterns and large candelabras. An aisle was lined by pillar candles in glass lanterns. Music was by Barbara Hiley, aunt of the bride, and Chad and Brett Hiley, cousins of the bride, playing acoustic guitar and keyboard.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory lace dress with a V-neck, cap sleeves and a beaded belt at the waist. Her waist-length veil was edged with lace and she carried a bouquet of white lisianthus, white hydrangeas, burgundy carnations, wax flower, maidenhair fern and lemon leaf, along with a family heirloom handkerchief.

Serving as matron of honor was Monica Mylonas of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Catherine McMains of Arlington Texas, and Kerry Evans of Little Rock. They wore navy poplin cocktail dresses and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Elise Melliere of Fishers, Ind., niece of the groom, and Chase Wilson of Bradenton, nephew of the groom.

Brian Poepsel of Fayetteville was best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Melly of St. Louis and Jessie Gillam of Bradenton.

A reception, also in the Great Hall, followed the ceremony. Tables were covered with white linens and gray runners, and held clusters of candles and wedding flowers.

The bride graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with bachelor's degrees in English and German. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Germany and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with master's degrees in library science and public administration. She is a librarian at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in Durham.
