Police on Monday arrested a Benton man who was accused last week of sexually assaulting a child, authorities said.
Nickalous Turner, 22, of Benton was charged with second-degree sexual assault after a 9-year-old girl told police he "inappropriately touched" her, according to a statement from Benton Police Department spokesman Lt. Kevin Russell.
Turner was booked into the Saline County jail Monday, but was released Wednesday on a signature bond, jail records show. A jail official said Turner is due in court Dec. 16 and was given a no-contact order with anyone under the age of 18.
