A veteran television reporter who spent more than a decade with KATV is back on the air in the Little Rock market.
Michelle Rupp, who spent the past three years working as an anchor in Virginia, has joined KARK and Fox16 as a morning reporter and a weekend forecaster.
"Though local viewers likely know her as a news reporter, she’s also a meteorologist," news director Austin Kellerman said in an email, adding that the stations are "happy to have her on the team."
Rupp started as a production assistant at KATV and then spent 9 years on air as a general assignment reporter, according to a resume posted online. In October 2011, she took an anchor position at a station in Charlottesville, Va., leaving that job last month.
Rupp is a native of Hot Springs.
