LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe and the chief economist for the Heritage Foundation are speaking at the state's largest business group's annual meeting.
Beebe and Stephen Moore with the Heritage Foundation are scheduled to speak Wednesday at the annual meeting of the Arkansas state Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Arkansas. The group is holding its annual meeting at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock.
Beebe is speaking to the group as he wraps up his final year in office.
Beebe, a Democrat, is leaving office in January due to term limits and will be succeed by Republican Gov.-elect Asa Hutchinson, who defeated Democrat Mike Ross in the Nov. 4 election.
