Felon sells gun to officer, Jackson County sheriff says

NEWPORT — Arkansas authorities have arrested a felon who they say was selling guns on Facebook.

KAIT-TV reported that Jackson County deputies arrested the man on a firearms possession charge.

Jackson County Sheriff's Cpl. Justin Collom said an undercover officer bought a 12-guage shotgun from the man last week. He said the man had been released on bond for a separate firearms possession charge before he made the sale.

The man's bond is now set at $250,000.

It's unclear why the man was previously convicted.
