Arkansas man sentenced in sexual assaults, attacks

NASHVILLE — An Arkansas man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for beating and raping a 79-year-old woman and her 14-year-old great-granddaughter.

The Texarkana Gazette reported that 39-year-old Adrian Wooten of Mineral Springs was sentenced Wednesday after being convicted by a jury in Nashville.

The attack occurred in August 2013 at the woman's house in Tollette, a town of about 300 people in southwest Arkansas. Wooten hit the woman and the girl in the head, face and mouth before sexually assaulting them.
