LR Waffle House robbed at gunpoint, police say

A southwest Little Rock Waffle House was robbed at gunpoint this weekend, police say.

About 9:35 p.m. Sunday, a man pointed a gun at a Waffle House employee and requested money from the cash register, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

The employee gave the robber, who was wearing a black hat and a black jacket, an undisclosed amount of money and left the restaurant, located at 8107 Geyer Springs Road, the report states.

A witness told police that the robber also pointed the gun at him during the robbery.

Another witness told police that he saw two robbers, and said he thought he recognized one of them as an employee of the McDonald’s on Geyer Springs Road.

Two other Waffle House employees said they saw three men run toward Windamere Apartments, at 5801 Dreher Lane, after the robbery.

All three robbers are described as black, 16 to 18 years old and about 5-foot-5.

No arrests have been made.
