DEER — A handful of computers no longer used at the U.S. Senate are going to five rural schools in Arkansas.
The office of Sen. John Boozman takes part in the chamber's Computers for Schools program. Computers no longer used in the Senate are donated to classrooms across the country.
Boozman said sharing surplus computers is a way to help Arkansas students develop computer skills.
The five schools receiving HP 7900 computers plus monitors, mice and keyboards are Deer, Scranton and Strong high schools, Hillcrest High School in Strawberry and Dermott Elementary.
