Hunting club bookkeeper took funds from club

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Federal prosecutors say a bookkeeper for an Arkansas hunting club has pleaded guilty to defrauding the club of more than $540,000.

The U.S. attorney's office in Memphis said Tuesday that 58-year-old Hazel Cathy Wadley faces up to 20 years in prison at sentencing in February.

Prosecutors say Wadley, of Memphis, performed bookkeeping duties for the Menasha Hunting and Fishing Club in Turrell.

Between October 2007 and August 2013, Wadley used funds in Menasha's bank account to make online payments for personal debts and expenses.
