Tonya Latris Lomack, 34, was originally charged with first-degree domestic battery after Eric Lomack, 35, was stabbed in his neck inside their apartment early Tuesday.

The victim was taken to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, where he died later that afternoon. Lomack was arrested at the hospital and, in addition to the battery count, was charged with a felony count of hindering apprehension and prosecution and tampering with evidence.

The latter charges stem from allegations that she initially told police a masked intruder attacked her husband, and she also tried to clean up blood and other evidence inside the apartment before taking the victim to the hospital.

Tonya Lomack was previously arrested Oct. 20, 2012, on a felony charge of second-degree domestic battery for allegedly stabbing the same victim in the shoulder during an altercation at their then-residence at a mobile home on Arkansas 290. The charge was eventually withdrawn when Eric Lomack refused to cooperate with prosecutors.

Tonya Lomack is currently being held without bail and is set to appear Dec. 9 in Garland County District Court.
