Fire danger in parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas

TULSA — The National Weather Service says the fire danger is rising in much of eastern Oklahoma and parts of Northwest Arkansas.

The weather service in Tulsa said warm weather and gusty winds are expected Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and will support the spread of any wildfires that may start. Temperatures on Friday were forecast to generally reach the upper 50s to middle 60s.

The weather service said a strong cold front is expected to move through the area Sunday night and early Monday, and may bring light rain to the region.
