Police are investigating an armed robbery Wednesday at a First Security Bank branch in Little Rock.

Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said officers responded about 12:30 p.m. to the location at 4936 W. Markham St. The bank's security guard was entering the building through the back door after a lunch break, when a masked man entered behind him and displayed a gun. The robber demanded cash and received an undisclosed amount, then fled east from the bank on foot.

No shots were fired in the bank, and no one was injured in the robbery, Davis said.

Police said the robber is described as a 25- to 35-year-old black man, standing about 5 feet 10 inches. He wore black shorts, a blue sweatshirt, a black do-rag and a mask at the time of the robbery.

The same location was robbed on May 27.
