VIKINGS

Bridgewater questionable

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings have listed quarterback Teddy Bridgewater as questionable for their game at Green Bay.

The final injury report of the week was released Wednesday, as the Vikings prepared to travel east for their primetime game against the rival Packers tonight.

Bridgewater sprained his left ankle in the fourth quarter of his first NFL start Sunday, a victory over Atlanta. He was back on the sideline before the end of the game without crutches, and an MRI showed no major damage.

But Bridgewater was held out of practice Monday and Tuesday. The NFL's definition of the questionable designation is a 50 percent chance of playing.

The Vikings also announced Wednesday they'll hold linebacker Chad Greenway out for the second consecutive game.

CHIEFS

RT Stephenson returns

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Right tackle Donald Stephenson returned to the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday following his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Now, the question is how many games it'll take him to return to the starting lineup.

Coach Andy Reid said that Stephenson would have to work his way back into the mix, and Ryan Harris remains the top right tackle heading into Sunday's game in San Francisco.

It's little surprise that Reid is hesitant to shake things up. After losing left guard Jeff Allen to a season-ending injury, and Stephenson to his suspension, a rejiggered offensive line has finally started to play well the past couple of weeks.

Kansas City ran roughshod over New England on Monday night in a 41-14 victory.

BEARS

CB Williams signed

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears have signed cornerback Teddy Williams from Arizona's practice squad and waived linebacker Terrell Manning.

The 6-foot-1, 207-pound Williams has appeared in 10 games over two seasons with Indianapolis (2012) and Arizona (2013) and seen time on offense (wide receiver), defense (cornerback) and special teams.

Manning played in two games for the Bears this season and saw time on special teams. He has appeared in eight games over three seasons with Green Bay (2012), San Diego (2013) and Chicago (2014).

The moves were announced on Wednesday.

PANTHERS

Alexander suspended again

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The NFL has announced Panthers defensive end Frank Alexander has been suspended an additional 10 games after violating the league's substance abuse policy again.

The league made the announcement on Wednesday.

Alexander suspended May 2 for four games for violating the substance abuse policy.

The Panthers had hoped Alexander's return this week would provide some help with Pro Bowler Greg Hardy out indefinitely while dealing with a domestic abuse case.

The NFL says Alexander's suspension begins immediately. He will be eligible to return to the active roster on Dec. 15.

Alexander, a fourth-round draft pick in 2012, played in 12 games and had 15 tackles and one sack last season. He played in 16 games a rookie with 2.5 sacks.

JETS

CB Milliner to play

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets coach Rex Ryan says cornerback Dee Milliner will play Sunday at San Diego after he missed the last two games with a quadriceps injury.

Milliner, the team's top cornerback, has only played in one game this season after missing most of training camp and the opener with a high ankle sprain. It's uncertain if Milliner will start against the Chargers, but is expected to see his first playing time since Week 2 at Green Bay.

Wide receiver David Nelson sat out practice Wednesday with a sprained left ankle that could sideline him at least a game.

Wide receiver Eric Decker (hamstring), right guard Willie Colon (knee), center Nick Mangold (shoulder) and rookie safety Calvin Pryor (bruised quadriceps) were all limited, but expected to play.

TITANS

Locker back at practice

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Jake Locker practiced Wednesday for the Tennessee Titans, and now the quarterback will see how his right wrist responds to a full session of throwing the ball.

Locker isn't overly concerned, saying he expects to play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

The quarterback says he feels really good and was able to do everything Wednesday, which he calls encouraging. Locker lobbied coach Ken Whisenhunt to play in last week's 41-17 loss at Indianapolis but watched from the sideline as backup Charlie Whitehurst played. Locker says it's always tough staying on the sideline.

Whisenhunt wants to see how Locker feels today after a full practice. Locker struggled in his last two starts, but the coach says all of the Titans must play better.

The Titans (1-3) host the Browns (1-2) on Sunday having lost three consecutive.

GIANTS

Beatty will play Sunday

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- After a disappointing season that ended with a broken leg in the regular-season finale, New York Giants tackle Will Beatty is back in form and smiling a lot this week.

Not only is the six-year veteran playing well, he'll get a chance to go against former mentor Osi Umenyiora on Sunday when the Atlanta Falcons (2-2) come to MetLife Stadium to play the Giants (2-2).

Beatty spent most of his first four seasons going against Umenyiora in practice, first providing scout-team looks and eventually squaring off as starters. It was Beatty on the left end of the offensive line and Umenyiora on the right end of the defensive line.

The relationship ended last season when Umenyiora signed with the Falcons as a free agent. The friendship is still there.

CARDINALS

Palmer sees specialist

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona coach Bruce Arians says quarterback Carson Palmer was seeing another specialist after his injured shoulder regressed following some throwing last week.

Arians says Palmer's condition is "fairly close" to what it was when he first hurt the shoulder in the season-opening victory over San Diego.

If Palmer's damaged nerve doesn't improve in a hurry, backup Drew Stanton will get his third consecutive start when the Cardinals play at Denver on Sunday.

Arians says Palmer threw "a bunch" of passes last Thursday and Friday, then afterward there was swelling around his injured nerve and, in the coach's words, "it went back to sleep."

RAMS

QB Davis new starter

ST. LOUIS -- Rams coach Jeff Fisher says that Austin Davis will be the team's starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

Fisher had insisted that Shaun Hill would return as the starter as soon as he was completely healed from a quad injury. Instead, he said Wednesday that Davis is the starter beginning Sunday at Philadelphia.

The 25-year-old Davis has sparked the Rams offense. He has thrown for 754 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions, while completing 72 percent of his passes since taking over for Hill midway through the first game of the season.

Davis' 93.1 quarterback rating is ninth-highest among NFC quarterbacks.
