1 Pink

A sea of pink will flood downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock for the Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure on Saturday. This year's race will have a different route, starting at Capitol Avenue and Arch Street and ending on Third Street between Louisiana and Center streets. The competitive run starts at 7:30 a.m. followed by the main 5K run/walk at 8. Registration is $36 for competitive, $26 for others. Call (501) 202-4399 or visit komenarkansas.org.

2 Provender

Thirty food trucks, 11 of them new this year, will join musicians, artists, craftsmen and other vendors on Main Street between Fourth and Eighth streets for the Downtown Little Rock Partnership's fourth annual Main Street Food Truck Festival, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The festival also coincides with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, which will cross Main Street on Sixth in the wee hours and on Third Street on the way "home." So most trucks will do 8-10 a.m. early bird specials. You'll make your purchases directly from the vendors -- no tickets -- and most if not all will take credit cards. 3 Paroo

Shirley Jones stars in The Music Man in Concert, not as Marian Paroo but as her mother. She'll also narrate and tell tales about making the 1962 movie. It's onstage at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Maumelle Performing Arts Center, Maumelle High School, 100 Victory Lane, Maumelle. Jones' son Patrick Cassidy adapted the Meredith Willson musical and plays Professor Harold Hill. The show kicks off Celebrity Attractions' 2014-15 Broadway Season. 4 Pops

Oscar- and Emmy-winning composer and conductor Bill Conti joins the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for "Bill Conti's Academy Awards Show," the orchestra's 2014-15 Acxiom Pops Live! Series opener, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (note the new earlier start time) and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Connor Performing Arts Center, Pulaski Academy, 12701 Hinson Road, Little Rock. Conti will conduct some of his scores (including Rocky, Dynasty, Falcon Crest and For Your Eyes Only) while scenes from the movies and TV shows play above the stage. Tickets are $19-$58, $10 for students and active duty military; K-12 students get into the Sunday matinee free with the purchase of an adult ticket. 5 Pedestrian party

The Hillcrest neighborhood celebrates the return of fall by turning Kavanaugh Boulevard between Walnut and Monroe streets into a pedestrian-only street fair at its annual HarvestFest on Saturday. The farmers market starts at 7 a.m., followed by a bird walk and pancake supper ($5, $15 per family). The main festival begins at 11 a.m. with children's crafts, a cheese dip competition, music, fashion show, Corvette show and vendors. 6 Sings

7 Springs

Musical acts from hither and yon will gather Friday-Sunday in Hot Springs' Hill Wheatley Plaza, 629 Central Ave., for the fourth annual Hot Water Hills Music & Arts Festival. Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday; headliner at 10:30 p.m. will be Amasa Hines. Noon is start time Saturday and Sunday, with a Saturday lineup that includes, at 6 p.m., Hot Springs Hot Spots songwriter showcase, followed by Swamp Bird, Dana Falconberry and at 10:30, Rude King. The festival will also feature art installations, kids activities, workshops, art vendors, food and drink. Tickets are $10, free for kids 12 and younger. Proceeds go to Low Key Arts. 8 Salt N Pepa

More than 30 country, rock, R&B, bluegrass or blues acts, including Jerrod Niemann, Salt N Pepa, Coolio and Dash Rip Rock, will perform on four stages over two days for Musicfest 27, 5 p.m.-midnight Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday on Union Square, 101 W. Main St., El Dorado. The festival also features a Kids' World, family stage acts and attractions, inflatable carnival amusements, face painting, food vendors, arts and crafts and community booths. Tickets are $20 each day, free for kids 12 and under with paid adult admission; $30 two-day passes are available through today at musicfesteldorado.com, where you'll also find a complete schedule. 9 Songs

Jazz trio The Bad Plus will perform at 8 p.m. today at South on Main, 1304 Main St., Little Rock. The ensemble's first Little Rock performance will inaugurate the Oxford American's four-concert 2014-15 jazz series at the club. 10 Scott

It's a day of blacksmithing, butter making and sorghum grinding as the Scott Plantation Settlement, 15525 Alexander Road in Scott, presents its annual High Cotton on the Bayou Festival, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. The old-school festival includes craft demonstrations, period games, hayrides and tours of the settlement's historic buildings. Admission is $3, $1 for children 6-17. Call (501) 351-0300.
