Police have canceled a Silver Alert for a Maumelle woman who had been missing from her assisted-living residence since Wednesday morning.
Maumelle Police Department Capt. Jim Hansard said Lois Scott, 75, was found safe in Harrison and is being evaluated at a local hospital.
Scott was reported missing about 9:30 a.m. from Elmcroft Nursing Home, located at 100 Bringler Drive in Maumelle. The facility is an "assisted living and Alzheimer's Care community in Arkansas offering accommodations for those who may require assistance in their daily living activities," according to its website.
Police said Scott suffers from Alzheimer's and had not taken her medicine since Tuesday.
