A 26-year-old woman accused of robbing a Little Rock bank while claiming she had a bomb strapped to her body confessed to the crime and returned some of the money, prosecutors said at a hearing Wednesday.

Katherine Clark made an initial appearance in Little Rock District Court by video a day after her arrest in the robbery Monday of the Arvest Bank at 11331 Arcade Drive.

During the appearance before Judge Mark Leverett, prosecutors said Clark gave a statement to police confessing to the robbery and that she "returned what money she had left."

A public defender representing Clark for the hearing requested a low bail amount or release with an ankle monitor because Clark reported she has "stage five ovarian cancer" and needs to get treatment at UAMS Medical Center. Leverett set bail at $25,000 and said he would consider lowering it after receiving medical paperwork from the hospital.

An preliminary innocent plea was entered for Clark, who faces charges of aggravated robbery and theft of property.
