Timothy Pemberton and Matthew York, both 26 and North Little Rock residents, were each charged with capital murder in the slaying of Terry Lipsmeyer.

Another North Little Rock man, 23-year-old Wesley Leroy Wooley III, was arrested Tuesday in the killing and charged with capital murder. Wooley had been placed on six years' probation last month in regard to gun and drug charges.

Pemberton, York and Wooley are suspected of entering Lipsmeyer's home at 118 Rice St. and robbing him and his roommate early Saturday morning. Witnesses told police that as the men fled, one of them turned around and shot the 52-year-old Lipsmeyer in the chest.

Officers responded about 4:20 a.m. to the home. Lipsmeyer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police initially said they were seeking two suspects in the homicide, which was the 36th of the year in Little Rock. It was unclear what led police to an additional suspect.

Wooley of 1123 W. 36th St. remained in the Pulaski County jail late Wednesday without bail.

York of 3516 Nixon Road and Pemberton of 2201 Sasser Court also were being held at the jail without bail.
