SPRINGDALE — The Arkansas Board of Corrections has selected former Department of Correction director Larry Norris to serve as interim director when the current director retires.
Director Ray Hobbs announced last week that he plans to retire effective Nov. 1. The board met Thursday in Springdale and selected Norris to oversee the department on an interim basis.
Norris served as department director from 1993 until 2010, when he retired.
