Illinois fugitives arrested in Mountain View

Two Illinois fugitives were arrested Friday in Mountain View after they were located by Stone County and U.S. Marshals Service officials.

Investigators from the Stone County sheriff’s office were assigned to investigate information involving two federal fugitives staying in the Stone County area, Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds said in a news release.

Jonathan Dean Riggs and his girlfriend, Khelsey Johnson, both of Galesville, Ill., were arrested at a residence on Woody Drive in Mountain View, Bonds said.

Riggs is charged with burglary and criminal damage to property and is being held in the Stone County jail in lieu of $600,000 bond.

Johnson is charged with two counts of unlawful aiding a fugitive and obstructing justice. She’s being held at the Stone County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. Both are awaiting extradition to Illinois.
