VOLLYEBALL

UALR tops Texas State

UALR won its 13th consecutive match when it defeated Texas State 3-1 (25-8, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18) Thursday night at the Stephens Center in Little Rock.

Edina Sllmovic had 15 kills and 11 blocks for the Trojans (18-4, 12-0 Sun Belt Conference). Edina Begic had 14 kills and 17 digs. Sonja Milanovic had 13 kills and 16 digs. Capri Rino had 25 digs and Megan Mathis had 44 assists.

Harding tops Henderson

Harding defeated Henderson State 3-2 (19-25, 25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 15-9) Thursday night at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia.

Nayell Colunga Jessica Moss led Henderson State (4-22) with 14 kills. Harding (17-6) was led by Molly Howard, who finished with 16 kills. Liv Savage had 12 kills and 4 blocks. Mardinida Turner had 10 kills and 20 digs.

Ozarks defeats Hardin-Simmons

University of the Ozarks men’s team defeated Harding-Simmons 2-1 on Thursday in Clarksville.

Layne Garcia scored the winning goal for the Ozarks (8-5-2, 4-1-1 American Southwest Conference) in the 62nd minute. Travis Leach scored in the 23rd minute to give the Ozarks a 1-0 lead.

Harding women tie SW Oklahoma

Harding and Southwestern Oklahoma State played to a 0-0 tie Thursday in Searcy.

Harding (4-10-1, 4-2-1 Great American Conference) had 10 shots in the game while Southeastern Oklahoma (2-10-3 2-4-2) had 20 shots. Kaitlyn Miller had five saves for Harding.
