Grant application workshops set for November

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission has scheduled five statewide grant application workshops in November for those interested in applying for aid, the commission announced Wednesday.

The free, two-hour public workshops will focus on procedures for applying for grants offered by five agencies and organizations. No registration is required for the workshops.

The grants division of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, the Arkansas Department of Rural Services, the Arkansas Natural Resource Commission, the Community Resource Group and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development are the participating agencies.

The meeting dates and locations include:

• Nov. 6 — 10:30 a.m., Newport Economic Development Commission, 201 Hazel St., Newport

• Nov. 7 — 10:30 a.m., University of the Ozarks, the Hanna Room of the Rogers Conference Center, 415 N. College Ave., Clarksville

• Nov. 17 — 10:30 a.m., Arkansas Municipal League, 301 N. Second St., North Little Rock

• Nov. 20 — 10:30 a.m., Southwest Arkansas Planning & Development District, 101 Business Park Drive, Magnolia

• Nov. 21 — 10:30 a.m., Monticello Economic Development Commission, 211 W. Gaines St., Monticello.
