2 killed in head-on collision in south Arkansas

BISMARCK, Ark. — Authorities say two people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision in Hot Spring County.

Arkansas State Police say the crash happened Wednesday night on Arkansas 7 near Bismarck. A preliminary report says a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Deborah Adams of Bismarck crossed the center line and crashed into a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Richard McKittrick of Arkadelphia.

State police say both Adams and McKittrick died in the collision. Their deaths were the 377th and 378th to occur on a state road this year, according to the crash report.

Four passengers in Adams' vehicle were injured in the crash, including three children. State police say the injured were taken to hospitals in Arkadelphia and Hot Springs, their conditions were not disclosed.
