Authorities are searching for a 25-year-old man suspected in the killing of a Hope man whose body was found after a fire at his house was extinguished.

The Hope Police Department said Cory Ray Turner is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and arson.

He is suspected in the killing of 20-year-old Thomas Youngblood, whose body was found Monday after crews put out a fire at his home at 221 N. Pritchard St.

Police said only that investigators later determined Youngblood "was the victim of an apparent homicide." No information on a motive has been released.

Turner was reportedly last seen in Nevada County, and he has ties in southwest and central parts of the state, authorities said.

Turner is described as a white man with black hair and brown eyes who stands 5-foot-10 and weighs about 200 pounds.
