Thunderstorms are expected in the southern half of the state from Friday into the first half of the weekend, meteorologists say.
Gusty winds will come with some of the storms, but the chances for the storms to become severe are low and rainfall will gradually slow from Friday night into Saturday morning, National Weather Service warning coordination meteorologist John Robinson said in an email.
“Until that occurs, there will be spotty amounts [of rain] exceeding an inch, and the possibility of a few 2-inch totals in the southern half of Arkansas,” he said.
