Leigh Miller, 24, was charged with manslaughter in the March 20 death of trucker Terry Harrell.

State police reported that Miller was driving east on Interstate 440 in Little Rock when she missed an exit, stopped and began backing up on the roadway to reach an on-ramp. Miller's vehicle collided with an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by Harrell. The rig's fuel tanks burst into flames.

Harrell, 60, of Jacksonville was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller, a 21-year-old passenger and the driver of another rig were injured in the crash.

State police spokesman Bill Sadler said late Friday that an investigation of the crash was completed last week and sent to prosecutors. Little Rock District Court issued an arrest warrant for Miller on Tuesday.

Sadler said late Friday that Miller tested positive for a controlled substance after the crash but could provide no further details.

Miller, of 420 Markham Mesa Place in Little Rock, was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $15,000 bond late Friday. She was additionally charged with failure to appear in another case.

Miller is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 12.
