Amari Rochelle Coleman Brooks became the bride of Bryan Terrell Briggs at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in St. Mark Baptist Church. The Rev. Phillip L. Pointer officiated.

Ermalene and Charles Coleman of Wrightsville are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Beatrice and Theardis Smith, also of Wrightsville, and the late Bernice and Willie Coleman of College Station.

Parents of the groom are Demetria and Steven Briggs, 2906 S. Center St. His grandparents are Charles and the late Elizabeth Parker of Little Rock and the late Reola Briggs and the late Luther Briggs, both of Star City.

The aisle was lined with silver trumpet vases topped with white pomander balls and white and fuchsia calla lilies. Music was by vocalists Nakitta Clegg-Foxx of Houston, cousin of the bride; and Dee Dee Jones of Little Rock; drummer Devon Nelson; and minister of music Rodney Cummings. A special interpretive dance was by Kennedy Yancey of Little Rock, cousin of the bride.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line gown of white organza embellished with iridescent beading at the waist. The strapless bodice was of pleated chiffon and the ruffled skirt extended to a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of magenta orchids.

Serving as the bride's honor attendants were Lolita Coleman-Fountain, sister of the bride, and Vontifany Smith, cousin of the bride, both of Little Rock; and Jade Brooks of Dallas, daughter of the bride. Bridesmaids were Korto Momolu-Briggs, Tenesha Brown, Tasha Glasper-Thompson and Melony Medley Phillips, all of Little Rock; Tene Green of Rogers, cousin of the bride; and Karmen Parker-Cooper of Jacksonville, cousin of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Kyndall Brooks, daughter of the bride, and India Dean. The bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns in a variety of styles in alternating colors of fuchsia, yellow and orange. They carried bouquets of lime green hydrangeas and lily grass.

Flower girls were Taniyah Davis, cousin of the bride, and Kai'Lynn Booker, both of Little Rock; and Tierney Gardner of San Antonio, niece of the groom. Ring bearer was Marcus Pighee Jr. of Little Rock.

The groom's honor attendants were Steven Briggs Jr. of Sherman, Texas, and Montra Gardner of Alexandria, La., brothers of the groom; and Marcus Pighee of Little Rock. Groomsmen were Willis Bailey Jr. of Atlanta, cousin of the bride; Michael Anthony Fountain, Charles Parker Jr., uncle of the groom, Alan McCray Jr. and Charles McCray, both cousins of the groom, and Michael Charles Fountain, nephew of the bride, all of Little Rock. Junior groomsman was Akil Brooks of Little Rock, son of the bride. Guests were seated by Tyler Lockhart, cousin of the groom, and Sidney Milton, both of Little Rock.

A reception at the Patrick Henry Hays Center in North Little Rock followed the ceremony. Tables were decorated with orange, fuchsia and lemon yellow pomanders and clusters of chrysanthemums, peonies and daisies in crystal trumpet vases.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, is a member of Junior League of Little Rock and was named the 2014 Arkansas Neighborhood Awards Makeup Artist of the Year. She is a freelance makeup artist, owner of Amari B. Studios and a customer service professional at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The groom has an associate's degree in refrigeration from Pulaski Technical College and is an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock and plan a wedding trip to Japan for a later date.
