One killed, two hurt in I-30 crash in Bryant

One person was killed and two others hurt in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 in Bryant on Sunday morning, authorities said.

Arkansas State Police say it happened about 1:10 a.m. as a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria traveled west on the highway at high speed.

According to a report, the car veered out of control at mile marker 125, ran off the road, hit a concrete barrier wall and then overturned.

The driver, 34-year-old Miguel Cruz of Bryant, suffered fatal injuries. Two passengers were taken to hospitals with unspecified injuries.

The death marked the 312th fatality in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
