Police: Former Bono alderman faces 24 felonies

BONO — A former Bono alderman faces 24 felony counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and false imprisonment.

The Jonesboro Sun reports he was arrested Wednesday and released from the Craighead County Detention Center Thursday on a $10,000 bond.

A district judge will decide if he will be charged in the incident that happened last week.

All of the possible charges stem from a fight that police say the suspect arranged at his house between a relative and another man. They say he pointed a gun at people and forced a group into his backyard to watch the fight and that some of the victims are juveniles.

Police say the suspect admitted that the gun was loaded and that he made a threat.
