A Hughes man died from his injuries after a single-vehicle crash on Arkansas 38 in Crittenden County earlier this month, state police reported Friday.
Donald Williams, 81, was backing his Chevrolet Tahoe into the eastbound lane of the highway Sept. 2 when about 3:34 a.m., the vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic. Williams turned sharply and the car's momentum threw him against the driver's side door. The door opened, and Williams fell from the vehicle.
He was taken to Regional One Health in Memphis, where he died Sept. 9, according to his obituary.
