The Grapes of Wrath Anniversary Celebration

HOT SPRINGS — Join a 75th anniversary celebration for John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath at 1 p.m. at the Garland County Library. Nannette Crane-Post will lead a discussion of the classic novel, and door prizes will be presented. Excel Workshop

ARKADELPHIA — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at Henderson State University will present a Microsoft Excel workshop to help participants master the advanced areas of Excel from 5:15-8:15 p.m. in Room 307B of Mooney Hall at Henderson. Topics will include filtering data, working with Excel tables, conditional formatting, text functions and quick analysis. There is a $40 workshop fee. Dancing With the Villagers

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League’s fall benefit will be held from 5-9 p.m. in the Coronado Community Center auditorium. The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, a professional dance exhibition, a charity dance competition, prize raffles and music by Marcus Sugg. Symphony Guild Season Opener
