NLR man chargedin lunge at wife, kid

A 29-year-old North Little Rock man remained in the Pulaski County jail Saturday afternoon after police said he lunged at his wife while she held their child and fired a shot that struck the bathroom floor of their residence.

Police said that Saturday morning, Anthony Isom of 54 Single Oaks Drive arrived home to find another man in his bed.

Isom pistol-whipped the man, according to an arrest report, and threatened to shoot him in the face.

When the man left, Isom pointed the gun at his wife, who was holding their small child, police said.

He "lunged" at her and fired a shot that "went into the bathroom floor," the report states.

Isom told police he fired the gun by accident, the report states.

Isom is charged with first-degree battery, aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault on a family member and endangering the welfare of a minor.
