The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department will host a public meeting to discuss plans to widen Interstate 49 to six lanes at the Arkansas 112-U.S. 71B interchange in Fayetteville, the department announced Friday. The meeting will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Asbell Elementary School cafeteria, 1500 N. Sang Ave. in Fayetteville.
The work will include lanes from the Porter Road exit to the Fulbright Expressway in north Fayetteville. Residents are invited to drop in during the meeting to view displays, ask questions or offer comments.
