Henderson State player earns GAC honors

Henderson State's Kevin Rodgers has been named the Great American Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in last week's 60-17 win over Southeastern Oklahoma.

It's the 12th time in Rodgers' career that he's collected the honor.

In the game, Rodgers completed 29 of 41 passes for 382 yards and a pair of touchdown passes.

The senior from Rockwall, Texas, also threw his 100th career touchdown pass, which ties him with Nathan Brown of Central Arkansas.

Rodgers is only the 21st player in Division II history to throw for 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns in a career. Rodgers is averaging 319.7 yards per game and has thrown 10 touchdown passes this season.
