One person was killed and three others hurt when two vehicles collided on U.S. 49 South in Paragould late Sunday, authorities said.
Arkansas State Police say a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling north on the highway about 11 p.m. when it turned in front of and collided with a southbound 2006 Chevy Trailblazer.
A passenger in the Grand Am, 28-year-old Tamara Cambron of Dennard, suffered fatal injuries.
Three others were hospitalized with unspecified injuries: the driver of the Grand Am, 16-year-old Travis Cline of Jonesboro; the driver of the Trailblazer, 30-year-old Jared Huffmaster of Paragould; and a passenger in the Trailblazer, 23-year-old Hanna Huffmaster of Paragould.
Conditions at the time of the wreck were said to be clear and dry.
The death was the 317th in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year and the second in the state Sunday, according to preliminary figures.
