Community picnic planned after Marshals Museum ceremony

FORT SMITH — A community picnic for hundreds of people is planned after Wednesday's groundbreaking ceremony on the U.S. Marshals Museum in Fort Smith.

Local companies will be on site preparing and serving a wide variety of lunch entrées ranging from hamburgers to fried chicken for the several hundred people expected to attend the event.

The food at the "Community Picnic" will be available to the first 600 guests on a first come, first served basis immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony.

The U.S. Marshals Museum is to be built on the banks of the Arkansas River in Fort Smith, overlooking Oklahoma.
