Man held in 2012 fatal shooting in NLR

A North Little Rock man arrested Friday at the Arkansas Department of Correction's Grimes Unit in Newport is facing a charge of first-degree murder in the 2012 shooting of a 32-year-old man.

Kameron Bradley, 29, was arrested Friday morning at the Newport unit and then taken to the Pulaski County jail, where he remained with bail not yet set Saturday afternoon.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Bradley's arrest in Saturday's edition, noting he was sentenced to prison in 2004 on aggravated robbery and aggravated assault convictions and has returned to prison multiple times since on parole violations.

Authorities on Friday did not release details about the 2012 case. In a news release Saturday, the North Little Rock Police Department said Bradley was charged in the Feb. 18, 2012, shooting of 32-year-old Theodis Jones while Jones was waiting for a bus at 4700 Augusta Circle.

It wasn't clear how Bradley was tied to the crime. Police did not release any information about the motive, citing an "ongoing" investigation.
