Ola man killed in motorcycle-SUV crash

A collision between a motorcycle and an SUV in Yell County on Saturday left an Ola man dead, Arkansas State Police said.

A 2004 Toyota Sequoia was heading south on Arkansas 7, south of Gleason Drive, about 11:46 a.m. and crossed into the northbound traffic lane, hitting the front of a Suzuki motorcycle driven by Brian Rose, 43, according to a state police report.

Rose was pronounced dead at the scene by Yell County Deputy Coroner Bobby Childress. The Sequoia’s driver was uninjured, state police said.

Weather conditions were clear and the road dry at the time of the wreck, authorities said.

Rose’s death marked the 328th on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to state police figures.
