2nd debate set up in heated Senate race

LITTLE ROCK — Republican Senate hopeful and U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton has agreed to an Oct. 13 public television debate with Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor and two other candidates, setting up the second televised face-off in the heated Arkansas race.

Cotton's campaign Tuesday said he agreed to the Arkansas Educational Television Network's proposed debate featuring Pryor, Libertarian nominee Nathan LaFrance and Green Party nominee Mark Swaney.

The debate will be recorded in Conway and air that night.

Cotton's campaign said he agreed to the debate after receiving final details about the panelists. Pryor and Cotton are set to face off again Oct. 14 in a live televised debate that won't feature the minor party candidates.

Pryor and Cotton have been publicly wrangling for months over debate details.
