Conway police seek tips in AT&T store burglary

The Conway Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two men in the Tuesday night burglary of an AT&T store in which about $20,000 in merchandise was stolen.

About 9 p.m., officers received a call regarding the alarm at the AT&T store at 2170 Harkrider St., Conway Police Department spokesman LaTresha Woodruff said in a news release.

Upon their arrival, officers found the back door to the business partially opened, broken glass on the ground and a broken light above the door, she said.

Ceiling tiles were found inside the business, but the Conway Fire Department checked the store’s roof and found no signs of entry.

Store employees told police that about $20,000 in merchandise was stolen from the store, Woodruff said.

One of the burglars was wearing bluejeans, a dark blue sweater with a white undershirt, and a dark blue hat, and the other man was wearing bluejeans, a dark blue sweater and a gray hat with a dark-colored bill, she said.

Woodruff said the two men are believed to be responsible for a Feb. 19 burglary at the AT&T store on 821 Hogan Lane in Conway and an AT&T store burglary in March in Little Rock.

Anyone with information about the burglaries or the men involved is asked to call the Conway Police Department at (501) 450-6120.
