Blytheville man charged in murder scheme

BLYTHEVILLE -- A Mississippi County man accused of conspiring to kill a jail inmate's ex-girlfriend was charged with conspiracy to commit murder Wednesday and was held in the Mississippi County jail with bail set at $100,000, authorities said.

Calvin "Murdoc" Aldridge, 28, of Blytheville was also charged with engaging in a gang activity, said Capt. Scott Adams, the commander of the Blytheville Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.

District Judge Shannon Langston set the bail.

Police said Tylon Calvin King asked Aldridge to kill King's ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Harris.

King is in the Mississippi County jail, suspected of shooting at Harris' home, Adams said. King asked Harris to drop charges against him and offered her money to do so, but she refused, Adams said.

"There had been some ongoing domestic issues between them," Adams said.

Deidre Bingham, who is also charged with conspiracy to commit murder, is accused of selling items owned by King to raise money to pay Aldridge to kill Harris. Bingham is in the Mississippi County jail with bail set at $50,000, Adams said.
