Harding sweeps Arkansas Tech

Harding’s Kimmy Hendricks reached base in both games of Tuesday’s doubleheader against Arkansas Tech and extended her streak to 15 consecutive games in the Lady Bisons’ 2-1 and 4-2 sweep in Searcy.

Arkansas Tech (28-12, 15-9 Great American Conference) led 1-0 after the top of the first inning in the first game, thanks to a home run by Whitney Robinson, but Harding (18-20, 12-10) responded with its two runs in the bottom of the inning. With the bases loaded, Carolyn Clayton hit into a fielder’s choice that scored Kinsey Beck from third. Clayton was later caught in a rundown trying to steal second base, but Hendricks scored from third before Clayton was caught.

Beck and Jessica Greene had two hits for Harding in the second game. Hendricks had a hit and 2 RBI in her only at-bat.
