Rundgren, Clinton School hosting music education symposium

LITTLE ROCK — The Clinton School of Public Service and an organization founded by musician and record producer Todd Rundgren are partnering this weekend to host a symposium on the importance of music education.

Saturday's event at the Statehouse Convention Center will explore the numerous benefits of music education. The symposium will conclude with a short performance by Rundgren, whose Spirit of Harmony Foundation is helping host the event.

The panel includes topics addressing how music education improves children's lives by making them more successful academically and socially and how individual students experience substantial and life-changing results from active participation in music education programs, among other topics.
