Authorities on Tuesday identified a homicide victim who was fatally shot last week.
The Little Rock Police Department says 55-year-old Richard Eugene Cole was the man who died Thursday night at West 33rd and Ludwig streets, which is a block west of John Barrow Road.
Authorities said previously they had a tentative identity of the victim but were waiting to confirm it and to notify family members.
Police responded shortly before 7 p.m. after shots were reported in the area. Cole was found unresponsive in the intersection with a gunshot wound to the head. He died at the scene.
No arrests have been made. The death was the city's seventh this year.
