Fayetteville athletes sign LOIs

FAYETTEVILLE -- Three senior Fayetteville athletes signed national letters of intent during a ceremony held Wednesday.

Jaxson Nolen signed for wrestling with New Mexico Highland University. Nolen is a two-time individual state-champion for the Bulldogs, winning at the 152-pound division as a junior and most recently in the 170 division this season as a senior.

Ridley Weeks, a two-year starter at linebacker with the football Purple'Dogs, signed with St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. Weeks was an all-conference selection in his final season and finished the year with 105 tackles, five tackles for loss, four quarterback hurries, three sacks, three interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.

Kathryn King also signed her letter of intent Wednesday to play volleyball at Hendrix College. King, a 5-foot-7 setter, recorded six digs and three aces for the Lady Bulldogs in her senior season.
