FAYETTEVILLE -- The Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to pick up trash along the city's trail system Wednesday in celebration of Earth Day.
The cleanup is scheduled from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Check in is at the Marion Orton Recycling Center, 735 W. North St. Participants are encouraged to walk or bike to the event. Vehicle parking is available across the street from the recycling center behind the North Street Mini Mart.
The city will provide trash bags. Participants should wear old clothes and gloves and bring sturdy shoes. All volunteers will receive a bag of wildflower seed.
